@matigo I also realize this is only for the italics "x", which is why I hadn't noticed it till now.
Also, wondering if it's possible for nice.social to have a setting to change the font to something different, like mononoki and maybe some other fonts people want on here?
I used reFont extension on Firefox to change to mononoki and it works great, but breaks the icons for interactions (edit, reply, star, pin etc) because mononoki doesn't support those.
@matigo I've been using mononoki in my sublime text for some time now and I just noticed that the "x" in the font is rather beautiful!
@matigo there’s got to be a server out there that is as chill as you want it to be. Or, you know… just keep doing your thing here. I love it!
@matigo indeed. And of course, Mastodon seems to be a standout - their mobile web app is just…. Weird… but no ads! 😁
@coopey oh I wasn’t worried about security. This is Apple just doing what they do - screwing things up. It’s a complicated system, so some snafus are expected, though.
I see a trend - services that show ads have horrid web apps that push you to use their native apps. Services that don’t show ads have exceptional web apps, sometimes to the detriment of their native apps.
@coopey did it get de registered only in that device or across all devices? Did you add a new Mac to the mix recently? Or updated or synced a Mac?
