Oh wait, I just realized that servers don't usually expend processing figuring out where an IP is coming from.
But then, their client facing load balancer might, no?

@snrkl Oh… VPN vs Smart DNS to work around geo-locked services like BBC iPlayer and Netflix. There are services like Unlocator which allow one to use American Netflix outside the US… Just wondering how changing the DNS achieves this.
@joeo10 and it seems my main problem with Ghostery was that the extension would take too long to approve a site before it let loading proceed. It would remain stuck at "waiting for extension Ghostery". Would Disconnect do the same?
