The revelations around Accuweather show that iOS seriously needs a hosts-file style blocking capability. Now, more than ever! The problem, of course, is that users will use the same to block ads too, which will hurt almost every app on iOS.

@matigo I think so… Setapp is a subscription model too, so I'd assume everyone in it gets the right amount of money for them to stay in.
@matigo you remember how we were talking about Setapp and how you said that it's not good value for money? Ulysses, which is now a subscription, seems to be sticking with Setapp. If that's the case, that's $10/mo to Setapp, out of which $5 goes to Ulysses directly. That's $5/mo for the rest of the apps.
