@kdfrawg that's good to know… Where can I see these videos?

//

@kdfrawg hmmm… I understand… There is this weird frailty to Christian myths which are oddly easy to pierce with logic, but are held steadfast by a lot of people.

Side-topic - do you meditate in any way?

@kdfrawg do the videos explore the cultural angle for the bombing, as hinted at by Wikipedia?

//

@kdfrawg so that's why people have moved away from the Old Testament?

But, as the article posits, one in four (or six?) Americans seem to believe this story is true history and not just a good teaching. Why, then, do they think their God loves them so?

Also, the absolute devotion thing seems to align with Zeus and other gods of the time and around it, so I guess that God was fine in his own time…

@kdfrawg what's so special about that one bombing?

// S/O and I have been watching a docu about Egypt these past few days. This definitely sounds like an interesting venture!

So… I wanted to discuss something about Christianity… I've had a conversation with @kdfrawg over on ADN a long time ago around this topic. I've been reading this article over the last few days -> http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/06/19/how-st-augustine-invented-sex

The question that comes to my mind is this - Adam and Eve made a mistake - they chose to gain knowledge that they shouldn't have had. The author seems to spin it so that St Augustine took this story from an allegory to 'fact', in order to align it with his own understanding of Christianity. But at the end of it all, it was still just a mistake. Why treat them so harshly? Are we saying through this that God is a vengeful God who cannot forgive?

Your thoughts please…

good to know! Frankly, I'm glad for it. Means that I can achieve what I want to wrt TheLiveblog without it being a 'kerning issue' for people here… :)

I think it's a deliberate change. Don't know why though…

does 10C remove extra spaces in between a post?

I was posting something through my liveblog and hit 138 chars at the end of a sentence, so to make things cleaner, added a few spaces so the next sentence starts at 141 chars. Both 10C and withKnown show my post without the extra spacing, even though the spaces were in between the text and not at the end… "Like so"…

Hmm. twitter.com/#hashtag used to work, but now it doesn't. Seems their recent changes have broken functionality and not just changed UI. This is silly. Some basic things about your platform should not change.
