I journal mostly based on my mood. If I'm angry, it really helps me calm down. It's like I'm making my case to someone and fleshing out my arguments.

If I'm in a quirky mood, I'll just take a pic or a selfie and save it. Kinda feels good.

If I'm happy or reminiscing or stuck in a fug, that comes out on the screen.

There's mental health benefits. I have bad memory and it's one of my main fears in life - to lose my memory. So this acts like a log of things I would want to remember.
