My two cents - I've tried all of these, but once you get used to Day One's interface, there's no turning back.
I know it feels like overkill, specially now that they're focusing on the Activity Feed and photos, but if you ignore all that and just use the journal, there's barely any comparison in speed, comfort and features.
But, to each their own… :)
Heck, I was so impressed by Samir Ghobril's Ipsum journal [itunes.apple.com] that I decided to replicate the functionality using Ionic! It was a great learning project. :)
